Terms of Service

1. The service

SeatMaply provides seating-chart editing, people import and assignment, browser-local storage, image export, project backups, and optional account and cloud-save features when available.

Anonymous editing does not require sign-in. Account, cloud, and other online features may be introduced in stages and are subject to capacity and abuse-prevention limits.

2. Preview status and fees

The current public version is offered free of charge and does not include a paid subscription or purchase commitment. We may adjust, add, suspend, or discontinue features as we learn from real use, with reasonable notice for material changes when practicable.

3. Accounts and security

• Use an email address you are entitled to control and protect the email account and authentication session.
• Do not bypass project-count, file-size, request-rate, Turnstile, or other security limits.
• If you suspect unauthorized account activity, sign out and contact us promptly.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You retain the rights you lawfully hold in projects, people data, background images, and exported results. You permit us to process that content only as needed to provide cloud save, support, and security features you choose.

You must have the right to enter, import, and process people information. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or unrelated sensitive content.

5. Storage, backups, and deletion

• Anonymous projects primarily live in the current browser. Changing browsers, clearing site data, or device failure can remove local content.
• Download `.seat` project backups regularly. SeatMaply does not provide a recycle bin or version history.
• The default cloud limit is five projects per account and 2 MiB per project. Individual cloud projects can be permanently deleted.
• Account deletion permanently removes the account and associated cloud projects but does not remove local copies from the current browser.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe rights, harass others, or process personal information you are not entitled to handle.
• Do not attack, probe, disrupt, automate abusive sign-in or save requests, or attempt to access another user’s data.
• Do not impersonate others, distribute malware, or use SeatMaply as a general-purpose file hosting or distribution service.

7. Availability

We aim to keep SeatMaply useful, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, capacity limits, provider outages, and feature changes may occur during the preview.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Keep your own project backups and review exports before relying on them for an important event.

8. Limits of responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SeatMaply is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by device failure, cleared browser data, third-party outages, incorrect user input, or failure to keep a backup.

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Suspension and termination

We may limit or terminate online features for clearly unlawful conduct, security threats, persistent resource abuse, or serious violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account and cloud projects through account settings.

10. Applicable rules and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the SeatMaply operator is established, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Please contact hello@seatmaply.com first so we can try to resolve a concern reasonably.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for product, legal, or security reasons. We will update the date and, where reasonably possible, highlight material changes. Continued use after an update takes effect means the revised terms apply.
